Requirements and Skills

Required

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Quality Engineer in fast-paced environments.

  • Expert proficiency in SQL and SQL-like query languages.

  • Strong experience with Python and structuring Python-based projects.

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

  • Solid background in ETL and ELT development.

  • Strong knowledge of data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, stored procedures, and views.

  • Experience with Azure Functions and Logic Apps.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building automated unit and integration testing frameworks for data projects.

  • Previous experience in Business Intelligence or as a Business Analyst.

We’re looking for an Azure Migration Specialist to lead or participate in projects migrating infrastructure, applications, and data from on-premises or hybrid environments to Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities

 

  • Assess current on-premises infrastructure, servers, applications, dependencies, network, storage, and databases to define the migration plan.

  • Perform discovery and dependency analysis across applications, services, and data.

  • Select the most appropriate migration strategy: lift & shift, refactor, rearchitect, or rebuild.

  • Design the target Azure architecture, including networking, identity, security, VMs, storage, high availability, and disaster recovery (DR).

  • Utilize Microsoft migration tools (Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Database Migration Service) or third-party tools.

  • Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.

  • Manage cut-over, data migration, synchronization, and minimize downtime.
