Job Brief

We’re looking for a Lead / Senior Data Solutions Architect to take a strategic and hands-on role in transforming complex client challenges into scalable, high-impact data solutions. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing robust big data architectures, leading technical teams, and defining solution strategies that align business goals with technical excellence. An ideal fit is someone who combines deep technical expertise, leadership ability, and strong communication skills in dynamic, data-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and resilient data solutions.

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for projects, ensuring strategic alignment with business and client goals.

• Bootstrap new teams and initiatives, establishing processes, tools, and best practices for long-term success.

• Act as the technical point of contact for key stakeholders, communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and optimization.

• Guide and mentor data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

• Engage in pre-sales and solution design discussions, contributing to technical proposals and client presentations.

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy frameworks in all architectural decisions.

• Promote continuous improvement, evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance solution scalability and performance.

• Collaborate across teams (Engineering, Product, Business) to drive delivery of impactful, data-driven outcomes.

• Architect solutions in Azure using Databricks, Data Catalog, Purview, ADFs, Pipelines & Data Flows, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database including stored procedures and views.

• Design semantic layers and manage multi-source ingestion.

• Explore and document Power BI datasets and reports to support business and technical stakeholders.

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Solutions Architect with a strong background in Data Engineering.

• Proficiency in data warehousing concepts and multidimensional data modeling techniques (must-have).

• Solid understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data privacy regulations (must-have).

• Demonstrated success leading complex data initiatives from design to implementation (must-have).

• Excellent ability to communicate with high-level stakeholders, translating business objectives into actionable technical plans (must-have).

• Expertise in cloud architecture and microservices.

• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or other programming languages within the data ecosystem.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to design innovative and scalable solutions.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with SaaS implementation and integration.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Catalog, Azure Purview, and Power BI (basic understanding and documentation).

• Experience designing semantic layers and managing multi-source data ingestion.

• Experience with ADFs, Pipelines & Data Flows, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database (including SPs and Views).

Nice to Have

• Experience in pre-sales and technical consulting.

• Background in fintech or large-scale enterprise environments.

• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines or real-time analytics architectures.
