Job Brief

 

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level BI solutions within complex and data-driven environments. This role focuses on ensuring data quality, performance, security, and reliability across the full BI lifecycle, leveraging the Microsoft SQL ecosystem.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end Business Intelligence architectures.

  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Design and maintain relational and dimensional data models (Star Schema / Snowflake).

  • Develop and optimize advanced T-SQL queries, ensuring high performance and scalability.

  • Build and maintain analytical models using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) (Multidimensional and Tabular).

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Implement data security and access control, including Row-Level Security (RLS).

  • Support Development, Test, and Production environments.

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and support data governance initiatives.

  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical BI solutions.

 

 

Requirements & Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Business Intelligence projects.

  • Solid experience with BI architecture design and enterprise-scale solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of responsibility.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Experience in technical leadership and mentoring is highly valued.

  • Microsoft certifications in Data, BI, or Analytics are a plus.

  • Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon.
