This is a highly commercial, mid-to-senior level role focused on building long-term collaborations with industrial partners. The position involves engaging in discussions around development projects, contract negotiation, and intellectual property structures, rather than traditional product sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with industrial clients in pharma, cosmetics, and related biotech-driven sectors
  • Drive business development activities focused on service-based and CDMO-style collaboration models
  • Lead complex commercial discussions including project scoping, technical feasibility alignment, and economic value proposition
  • Negotiate collaboration agreements, licensing structures, and intellectual property (IP) terms
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers across R&D, innovation, and business units
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear commercial opportunities and tailored client solutions
  • Collaborate closely with scientific and technical teams to align client needs with internal capabilities
  • Contribute to market strategy, identifying new applications and industry opportunities for enzyme-based technologies
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to support strategic positioning

 

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales in a CDMO, biotech, pharma, or industrial biotech environment
  • Strong understanding of service-based business models and technology commercialization
  • Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, partnerships, or licensing/IP deals
  • Solid commercial mindset with the ability to assess economic value, ROI, and competitive advantage of technical solutions
  • Ability to engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders at senior level
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to sales
  • Background in biotechnology, chemistry, life sciences, or related fields is highly valued
  • Fluent level of English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional European languages will be considered an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of the cosmetics ingredient value chain, including manufacturers, formulators, distributors, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of pricing structures, cost models, and value positioning within the cosmetic ingredients market.

  • Proven experience in Regulatory Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of eCTD dossier preparation and submission processes for the EU and US markets.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
  • Excellent understanding of international regulatory standards (ICH, EU, US).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to propose solutions and strategies to complex regulatory challenges.
