Job Brief:
We are seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Business Developer to support the commercial growth and market introduction within the cosmetics and personal care sector. This role focuses on shaping and implementing commercial strategies, uncovering new market opportunities, and establishing strong partnerships across the industry value chain.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement commercial initiatives within cosmetics and personal care applications.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by targeting key stakeholders including formulators, ingredient suppliers, distributors, and global brands.
- Build, manage, and strengthen strategic client relationships while gaining a deep understanding of their technical and commercial needs.
- Present the benefits of enzyme-driven technologies by highlighting performance advantages, sustainability benefits, and cost efficiency compared to conventional solutions.
- Support the market transition toward innovative and environmentally responsible ingredient alternatives.
- Lead commercial discussions including pricing strategies, partnership agreements, and contractual negotiations.
- Monitor competitor activity, customer demands, and market trends to support data-driven commercial decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D, operations, marketing, and leadership to ensure alignment between technical development and market needs.
- Contribute to the expansion of a growing business by identifying strategic opportunities and delivering measurable commercial impact.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management within cosmetic ingredients, personal care, or similar sectors.
- Demonstrated experience introducing innovative ingredients, materials, or technologies to established industry markets.
- Strong understanding of the cosmetics ingredient value chain, including manufacturers, formulators, distributors, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of pricing structures, cost models, and value positioning within the cosmetic ingredients market.
- An established network within the cosmetics, personal care, or specialty chemicals industry is considered an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth in dynamic environments.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages such as Spanish, German, or Portuguese are considered a plus
